spikeswithflowers asked: Where is the dress Audrey Hepburn wore in Sabrina located now? Thank you!

I’m trying to do a bit of digging online to find out the answer but so far this is what I’ve come up with:

In 2012 “one of the beautiful gowns Givenchy made for Ms. Hepburn [was] available for viewing at Club TCM in the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, on the first floor.  It’s in pristine condition, featured alongside a still from the film of her wearing it.” Huffington Post

veronicamason asked: I red Audrey was in Paris at the Sabrina prémiere on 4th february 1954, do you have any image of that...?? Thank you....!!

You have impeccable timing. I actually put together a post yesterday of Audrey and Mel at a European première of Sabrina.  I have a feeling it’s from the France première; however, it could be from the Netherlands screening as well.  I’ll post the pictures now.  Based on the earrings she is wearing, I’m positive those pictures are from the French première.

Audrey Hepburn and Mel Ferrer in France for the première of her film Sabrina, 1954.

mochawhip asked: I happened to catch Sabrina on TV last night and watched it for the first time. What a delightful little film! I was wondering if you have any color photos of that gorgeous ball dress Audrey wears for the party that Sabrina goes to when she returns from Paris. Thank you!

Yay! Sabrina is my favorite Audrey film. I’m so glad you enjoyed it.

“She was the love of my life. Sometimes at night, I’d get a portable record player and drive out to the country to a little clearing we’d found. We’d put on ballet music. Some of our most magic moments were there.” -William Holden

Did Audrey Hepburn know Rock Hudson or James Dean?

I was previously asked if Audrey had ever met Rock Hudson or James Dean and since being asked I have done some extra research and here is what I came up with:

(James Dean and Terry Moore at the premier of Sabrina, 1954.)

James Dean attended the 1954 Los Angeles premiere of Sabrina, however, due to lack of photo evidence, I’m not certain if Audrey attended the LA premiere.  I do know, from pictures, that she attended the French screening of Sabrina and the Netherlands’ premiere of Sabrina.  So, it’s possible they did meet… When and where? I have not a clue.

Concerning Rock Hudson - I found a youtube video of Audrey Hepburn and Rock Hudson attending (separately) Ella Fitzgerald’s opening at the Crescendo Nightclub, 1961. Audrey and Mel Ferrer appear at 1:23 and Rock Hudson appears at 2:05.  It’s certainly possible that at some point during the evening they chatted. Watch the video HERE.

I wish I had more definitive answers. Perhaps, someday we’ll know more. What I do know is that Audrey Hepburn had the incredible honor of watching Ella Fitzgerald perform live and I couldn’t be more jealous!

Audrey Hepburn and William Holden on the streets of New York during the production of Sabrina, 1954.

Ernie Lehman [Sabrina’s screenwriter] recognized what was happening when he dropped into Bill’s dressing room one day.  Lehman had been working so hard on rewrites of the Sabrina script that he had broken down in a weeping fit in a corner of the stage.  “Go home and get some rest; you deserve it,” [director Billy] Wilder said.  Before leaving, Lehman wanted to say goodbye to Bill Holden.

He walked into Holden’s dressing room unannounced.  He found Bill and Audrey standing a foot apart facing each other, their eyes meeting.  Lehman said his farewell and departed, realizing that something profound was happening between Bill Holden and Audrey Hepburn. (x)

Guess who is finally on blu ray? Imagine it: Audrey Hepburn wearing Givenchy in HD. I’m excited just thinking about it!
