berryboba asked: Audrey is famous for her gamine features & classic style. To me she was born fairly pretty but it feels like there was something "extra" that made her special considering the gorgeous actresses of her time (and after). She seems timeless and irreplaceable. Why do you think she is beautiful?

I worry that if I answer this question to the best of my ability I could end up writing a thesis on why I think Audrey Hepburn is beautiful. There is no doubt the woman had impeccable bone structure and a smile that took up nearly half her face but I agree there was much more to her beauty than her outward appearance.  It was her grace, the way she spoke, how she spoke, her confidence and self assurance.  The fact that she was vulnerable and modest; never giving her looks too much thought.  She was feminine and fragile but never breakable.  She was always kind, gracious and empathetic.  She was smart and eloquent as well as elegant.  There are so many pieces that made up Audrey’s beauty; it’s difficult to pinpoint one thing.  She is timeless and very much irreplaceable.

Thank you! I LOVE your enthusiasm. :)

lainhidden asked: Do you know if Audrey's hair in Ondine was a wig or some sort of tint?

According to the book Audrey: Her Real Story By Alexander Walker, Audrey tried a blonde tint and instantly regretted the decision and dyed her hair back to it’s original color.  She then wore a champagne colored wig that director Alfred Lunt had prepared for her but Audrey found it hot and horrible so her solution was to sprinkle gold dust on her hair.

tr0picalmermaid asked: hello! what an amazing blog! I truly adore Audrey. I just want to know your thoughts on your definition of being classy. Thank you, love x.

I think often times people associate class with money, power, and etiquette; and, although good manners are important, to me, being classy is about being an authentic person.  Classy is defined as “stylish and sophisticated” and I agree with that, but to me classy is about being stylish without having to alter your appearance or self to appeal to others. Thank you for the question and compliment.  I very much appreciate it. Xo
